Kathleen Hepworth

At her rural home on the Yorkshire coast Kathleen produces a combination of thrown and handbuilt ceramics, using mostly Stoneware clays, coloured slips and glazes.

 

Her artistry is ever-evolving, with the only constant being her quest to explore fresh concepts. Each pot she creates possesses its own distinct character, adorned with a painted surface decoration that is completely unique.

 

Kathleen's lifelong passion for plants and flowers, paired with her previous experience in Design—where she honed her skills in form, pattern, and colour—often finds expression in her work, which frequently transcends into the realm of the imagination.
